Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of resumus.io ("we"). By creating an account or using resumus.io you accept them.

1. The service

resumus.io is an online resume builder: you enter your data, choose a template and download a PDF that looks exactly like the preview. With a paid plan you can also publish a resume as a web page.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old.
• Give a real email address and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
• One account is for one person. Do not create accounts automatically or in bulk.

3. Plans and payments

• Free costs nothing and has the limits shown on the pricing page.
• One is a one-time payment that unlocks one resume for as long as the service exists.
• Pro and Ultimate are subscriptions. They renew every month until you cancel.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and handles payments, taxes, invoices and refunds. The price you see at checkout, with the taxes of your country, is the price you pay. We do not see or store your card data.

If we change the price of a subscription, we tell you by email before the new price applies to you.

4. Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel a subscription at any time in Settings → Billing. It stays active until the end of the paid period. Refunds are described in the Refund Policy.

5. Your content

Your resumes, photos and everything else you enter stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the service: to show the preview, create PDFs and, if you choose so, publish a public page.

You are responsible for your content. It must be yours to use, truthful about who you are, and lawful.

6. Public pages

A public page is visible to everyone who has its address. You decide whether it is published, whether search engines may show it, and which contacts it shows. You can take it down at any time.

We may take down a page that impersonates someone, publishes another person's data without permission, advertises something unrelated to a resume or breaks the law. Anyone can report a page through the contact page.

7. Acceptable use

Do not:

• break into the service, overload it or get around its limits;
• copy it in bulk with automated tools;
• use it to send spam, spread malware or mislead people;
• resell it without our written permission.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service running and your data safe, and we keep backups. Still, the service is provided "as is": we do not promise that it will never be interrupted or contain no errors. Keep a copy of your important documents; you can download a PDF and export your data as JSON at any time.

We may add, change or remove features. If a change takes away something you paid for, the Refund Policy applies.

9. Ending the agreement

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Security. Your resumes, files and public pages are deleted at once.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we close an account without such a reason, we refund the unused part of what you paid.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits the rights that consumer law gives you. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, such as a lost job offer, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we tell you by email or in the app before the change takes effect. If you keep using the service after that, you accept the new terms.
